• Safe and quality education

Every child deserves a safe and enriching learning environment. I will advocate for mental health resources, including crisis counseling, to support students’ well-being and create safer schools. Access to counseling is a proven method to reduce both gun violence and bullying in schools and enhances students’ emotional wellness. Additionally, I will work to ensure timely evaluations for students with special needs, so they receive the support they deserve without unnecessary delays.

• Supporting educators

 Teachers should have the freedom to design lessons that inspire and engage students. I will stand against book bans and other restrictions that limit their ability to provide a well-rounded education. Supporting our educators means ensuring competitive wages, professional development opportunities, and a school environment that values their expertise.

• Transparency and community inclusion

Our schools thrive when the entire community is involved. I will work to create more action committees so that parents, students, teachers, and community members can collaborate on important decisions.  Open communication and meaningful engagement will ensure that all voices are heard and valued in shaping our district’s future.

• Data protection

 As technology plays an increasing role in education, we must prioritize the security of our students’ and staff’s personal data. I will advocate for strong digital safeguards and the best protocols to protect sensitive information. Our schools should be a place of learning and never a target for cyber threats.

• Maintaining a fiscally responsible budget.

With a 2% budget cap, we must make strategic choices to support essential programs without compromising quality. I will prioritize funding STEM education, mental health resources, and competitive wages for staff while ensuring responsible financial management. Our district must use its resources wisely to give students the best opportunities to succeed.
